While Trek Medics International was formed to assist the development of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in underserved communities, what “development” actually signifies can vary drastically from locale to locale: different geographical areas and communities often have different prehospital needs. As a result of this dynamic, there’s no single training model or development scheme that can improve system performance or patient outcomes in every situation. For that reason, TMI is committed to delivering the most optimal training and resources possible to each individual partnership that we engage in, based on a systematic assessment of both needs and resources.
We hope that this section will help our visitors better understand what it takes to affect positive change in prehospital emergency medical services, as well as how we try to accomplish that.
